Since June 2014 the area along 35th Ave NE at NE 107th Street has been one huge construction zone. Improvements to reduce flooding in the low area nearest to Meadowbrook Community Center, 10517 35th Ave NE, may be finished in December. In the meantime, Meadowbrook Pond is still accessible — you can drive north on 35th Ave NE to the point of NE 107th Street, park at curbside or at the community center.
The Friends of Meadowbrook Pond invite everyone for a Luminaria Walk on Saturday evening, December 6, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. The walkways and bridges of Meadowbrook Pond will be lined with lights for a beautiful evening’s walk, with cookies and hot cocoa served. Come and enjoy a winter’s evening of holiday lights.
