Candidate Forum: District 5, New City Council Districts

If you live in Wedgwood north of NE 85th Street, then you are in District 5 of the new geographical area for representation to Seattle City Council.

District 5 stretches across north Seattle from Puget Sound to Lake Washington.  Northwest neighborhoods like Broadview, north neighborhoods like Northgate and northeast areas like Meadowbrook are included in District 5.  Get more info about the council districts here.

The community associations of Broadview, Greenwood, Haller Lake, and Pinehurst will host a candidate forum for Seattle City Council District 5.  The forum is Wednesday, March 11, 2015, from 7 to 8:30 PM at Bitter Lake Community Center, 13035 Linden Ave North.  Doors open at 6:30 PM for socializing.

The candidates for Seattle City Council District 5 are:  Sandy Brown, Mercedes Elizalde, Debora Juarez, Mian Rice, David Toledo, and Halei Watkins.  Come to the forum on March 11th to learn about the candidates’ background and experience.  You will have an opportunity to ask them questions.
