Come on out to the Harvest Skills Fest on Saturday, September 19, to learn and share important and seasonally-appropriate skills. The Harvest Skills Fest will be held from 10 to 4 at the Meadowbrook Community Center, 10517 35th Ave NE.
Community members will instruct classes in skills such as dehydrating, seed saving, canning, pickling, root cellaring, winter gardening. SCHEDULE OF CLASSES
10 am –11am, Making hard cider
11:15 am – 12:15pm, Making lactofermented pickles
12:30 pm – 1:00 pm, Pressure canning tomatoes
1:00 pm – 3:00 pm, Fermentation – sauerkraut and ginger carrots
3:00 pm – 3:30 pm, Fruit leather
3:30 pm – 4:00 pm, Freezing intensified tomatoes
It is not necessary to register for classes. Come and participate. All classes are held in the kitchen or room 11 at the Meadowbrook Community Center.
