Night Out is a national Crime Prevention event designed to increase neighborhood support.  Getting to know your neighbors and networking for watchfulness is one of the best ways to prevent crime.  In Wedgwood there have been cases of alert neighbors noticing entry at a home and, after quickly phoning the homeowner at work, were able to then call the police because a break-in was in progress.

Night Out materials can be printed from the website.  There is still time to register and apply to close off your street for the evening  A block party is easy to organize — notify neighbors with the printable flyers and assemble for introductions, barbecue, and children’s games.  Let’s network to support one another and prevent crime in Wedgwood.
