Micro-Community Policing Plans

The new Micro Community Policing Plans are designed to address the distinctive needs of each community.  Although there is not a plan specifically for Wedgwood, Wedgwoodians can attend one of the upcoming meetings to be held on August 9, 10 and 22.  On Monday, August 22nd, the meeting will be held at 6 PM at the Northeast Branch Library.

Micro Community Policing PlansAs part of the process evaluation of the Seattle Police Department’s implementation of the Micro-Community Policing Plans, Seattle University is looking for community members to participate in an hour-long discussion regarding community perceptions of crime, safety, and police legitimacy, as well as knowledge of and satisfaction with the MCPP. Information gleaned from these focus groups will help to inform the respective neighborhood’s MCPP so come share your concerns and suggestions!

Participants feel comfortable expressing any opinions you may have, the Seattle Police Department will not be present during these discussions.

Upcoming focus groups are listed by neighborhood, and there is not one specifically for Wedgwood-only.  Wedgwoodians should participate in a group closest to where they live or work.  Contact Jessica Chandler with any questions: jessica.chandler@seattle.gov
