Montlake Bridge Closed for Repairs September 24-26, 2016

The Montlake Bridge will be closed to traffic this weekend, beginning on Saturday morning, September 24th, at 5 AM.  Boat traffic requiring the raising of the bridge, will be restricted to a few times during the weekend.

montlake-bridge-deck-repairDrivers and boaters should plan ahead for major closures in Seattle’s Montlake neighborhood this weekend while Washington State Department of Transportation maintenance crews replace sections of the deck across the Montlake Bridge.

“By replacing portions of the bridge deck now, we will save drivers delays in the future from emergency maintenance closures,” said Washington State Department of Transportation Bridge Maintenance Specialist Tim Ditch.

Closure details: 5 AM Saturday, Sept. 24, to 5 AM Monday, Sept. 26

  • Montlake Bridge/State Route 513 will be closed to all vehicular traffic.
  • Bicyclists and pedestrians will be able to cross Montlake Bridge.
  • The westbound State Route 520 off-ramp to Montlake Boulevard East/SR 513 will be closed.
