On Friday, October 14th, the Wedgwood Meaningful Movies program will have a change of venue for their monthly film. This time the program will be held at Wedgwood Presbyterian Church, 8008 35th Ave NE. Doors open at 6:30 and the film will be shown at 7 PM, followed by facilitated discussion.
The film to be viewed on Friday, October 14th at the Wedgwood Meaningful Movies is The Mask You Live In. The film explores harmful notions about masculinity in American culture, following boys and young men as they struggle to stay true to themselves while negotiating America’s narrow definition of masculinity. Pressured by the media, their peer group, and even the adults in their lives, young men confront messages encouraging them to disconnect from their emotions.
Enter Wedgwood Presbyterian Church from the door on NE 80th Street. Doors open at 6:30, the film begins at 7 PM and is followed by discussion. No reservations are required and the program is free.
