You can help Ryther in Wedgwood, a residential treatment center offering behavioral health services for children, by ordering a poinsettia, a traditional decorative plant for the holiday season.
Ryther, located at 2400 NE 95th Street, traces its history back to the 1880s in Seattle when Mother Ryther vowed never to turn away a needy child. Today the Ryther residential treatment program has cottages where children live and they also attend school on campus. A new office complex contains more rooms for consultation with families and for therapeutic sessions to help children.
These beautiful poinsettias are from Squak Mountain Nursery. Here is the order information: Please have your order in by November 1st. Pick-up of poinsettias will be at the Ryther office on Friday, November 25 (day after Thanksgiving) or Monday-Tuesday, November 28-29.
Payment for the poinsettia plants goes to a chapter of the Ryther League, the volunteers who support Ryther with fundraising and with organizing activities for the children.
