The eight-day celebration of Hanukkah ends with traditional foods and candle-lighting on Friday evening, December 30th, at Temple Beth Am in Wedgwood.
Temple Beth Am at 2632 NE 80th Street will celebrate the Festival of Lights on Friday, December 30th at 5 PM, before the regular 6:15 PM Shabbat Service.
Hanukkah activities include lighting of the eight-candle menorah (Hebrew word for lamp) to commemorate a miracle of oil lamps which stayed lit for eight days at the Temple of Jerusalem. Temple Beth Am invites friends and family to a happy hour oneg from 5 to 6 PM with latkes and doughnuts, and a community candle-lighting at 6 PM.
