You can enjoy a delicious meal with music and entertainment, bid on art and ceramics creations, and help the food bank all at the same time at the Empty Bowls event on Sunday, February 26th.
Empty Bowls is an annual fundraising event for North Helpline in Lake City. This year’s event will be held at St. Matthews Parish Hall on 15th Ave NE at NE 127th Street, on Sunday, February 26th from 1 to 4 PM. Advance tickets are available now, and a silent auction will be held at Empty Bowls.
Empty Bowls is an international grassroots effort to fight hunger. The basic premise is simple: handcrafted bowls are created and donated by artisans and students. Guests are invited to a simple meal of soup, salad, and bread. Included in the price of admission, guests select a handcrafted bowl to keep as a reminder of all the empty bowls in the world and in their communities.
North Helpline is proud to have hosted an Empty Bowls with an extensive silent auction and entertainment since 2009. All profits raised from the event support the efforts of the Emergency Services and Food Bank to keep putting food on our neighbors’ tables and a roof over their heads.
This year’s Empty Bowls event will be held in the Community Hall at St. Matthew’s Parish (1240 NE 127th Street) from 1 to 4 in the afternoon on Sunday, February 26th. Tickets are available online now!
