Burke-Gilman Trail Maintenance This Week

Seattle Parks and Recreation will continue work to clean up debris and provide ditch maintenance at two landslide sites along sections of the Burke-Gilman Trail between NE 125th Street and NE 135th Street in northeast Seattle.  The heavy rain has filled the ditches and requires attention.

To accommodate commuters, work will begin after the morning commute and end prior to the evening commute. Crews will be on-site from 9 AM to 2 PM daily starting Tuesday, January 24 until work is complete. It is anticipated that the project will be complete on Thursday afternoon.

Trail users will experience a reduced pedestrian lane.  For safety, cyclists will be required to dismount and walk their bicycles past the work area.  Flaggers will be present to let pedestrians and cyclists know that they are approaching the work zone.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation and patience during this maintenance project.
