Candidates for City Council Positions in 2017

In the year 2015 Seattle City Council divided into districts, with CM Rob Johnson representing Wedgwood south of NE 85th Street, and CM Deborah Juarez representing north Seattle north of 85th Street.  In 2017 two other City Council “at-large” positions will be up for election.

Councilmember Lorena Gonzalez has filed to run for election again in Position 9 and it appears that no one wants to run against her.

Councilmember Tim Burgess will retire at the end of 2017 and so far, seven people have filed as candidates for Position 8.

Here is a list of currently declared candidates for the two City Council positions up for election in 2017, along with email addresses, Form F-1 financial disclosures to the city and state, and links to their campaign websites (where available).
