Sustainable Northeast Seattle will host a Hands-On Skills Fair on Saturday, February 11th. The workshops are free and everyone is invited to join in to learn and share their expertise. Here is the list of workshops.
The Hands-On Skills Fair will be held at the Meadowbrook Community Center, 10517 35th Ave NE, on Saturday, February 11th, from 10 AM to 5 PM. The Skills Fair is sponsored by Sustainable Northeast Seattle.
Here are some new exciting classes being offered: Growing Micro Greens, Electric Bike conversions, Seed Saving, Creating a Natural Medicine Cabinet, Fruit Tree Pruning, Building a Simple Greenhouse or Cloche, Building a Rainwater Harvesting System, Transplanting a Tree, Coffee Roasting, Investing in your Local Economy, Dash of Bitters, Sour of Shrubs, Clothing ReFashioning w/ Patches ….
Classes returning this year: Basic Wiring for Homeowners, Basic Carpentry, Mushroom Cultivation, Building Great Garden Soil, Fermentation, Planning Your Garden, Basket Weaving, Plant Propagation, Soapmaking, iPhoneography, ….
In addition to these offerings, the Hands-On Fair will once again have an open market area featuring: tool sharpening (bring your tools), bike repair (bring your bike), clothing exchange (bring clothes to exchange), fermentation station.
Lunch will be served during which we will hear from our speaker, Bill Thorness.
