D4 Candidate Forum on Transportation, Housing, & Sustainability

Join the Cascade Bicycle Club for a District 4 City Council candidate forum focusing on making Seattle a more affordable and sustainable community. We will be hearing from candidates for City Council in District 4 as they answer questions about housing, mass transit, ensuring everyone is able to use our streets safely and achieving Vision Zero, reducing carbon emissions, and centering racial equity in all of this work. Final schedule announced for Your Voice, Your Choice project development meetings

In Project Development, community members take the ideas submitted during the Idea Collection phase and prioritize them to 8-10 ideas per Council District. There will be opportunities to participate in Project Development meetings in each Council District. Participants will be responsible for evaluating the project ideas that are submitted and give each project numerical ratings. Each Project Development meeting will be supported by Your Voice, Your Choice staff who will ensure that community members have the necessary resources and tools to evaluate projects. 35th Ave NE Project: Construction Update

Paving on 35th Ave NE between NE 75th and NE 89th streets has been postponed and is now scheduled to take place starting at 6 PM on Friday, April 26. Paving activities may continue as late as 5 pm on Saturday, April 27 based on site conditions. This work is weather-dependent and could change.  35th Ave NE will be fully closed to vehicle traffic between NE 75th and NE 90th streets See the SDOT update for full details.

35TH Ave NE Project Drop-in Session

SDOT is hosting a drop-in session where you can learn more about the new design and how 35th Ave NE will operate in the future. This will be an open house event with no formal presentation. Please join us at whatever time is most convenient for you. They will have information boards and staff available to answer your questions. NPAC Meeting Wednesday

The North Precinct Advisory Council is a community organization devoted to promoting partnership between residents, schools, businesses, and the Seattle Police Department to effectively address public safety issues. The SPD North Precinct Advisory Council will meet at 7:00 pm Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Cascadia Elementary School’s library, 1700 N 90th St. NPAC meetings are open to the public and people concerned about public safety are encouraged to attend. Questions and informal networking with law enforcement and community members follows the agenda for about 15 minutes. Park Meeting Tonight

The 2nd meeting with Seattle Parks Department and contracted design firm Studio 41 is tonight Apr 3rd 2019 at the Thornton Creek Elementary School, Cafeteria. 7 – 8:30 pm.
