The 35th Ave NE Project Outreach Team provided the following update on Thursday, June 7. Overview Construction for the 35th Ave NE Project is scheduled to begin June 11 in Zone A (between NE 45th and NE 55th streets). Crews will begin with storm drain work, sidewalk repair, and curb ramp replacement in select locations. Street parking will be restricted in this area to provide room for crews to safely and efficiently complete the work. Repaving the road in Zone A will begin in the coming months. Rain in the forecast has forced us to postpone the June 9 work party. Stay tuned for a new date! Join us on Saturday, June 9 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. for a neighborhood cleanup event! We’ll meet at Hunter Tree Farm (7744 35th Ave NE) and work together to clean up the lot and adjacent sidewalks along 35th Ave NE. Wear your Wedgwood t-shirts and work gloves, and BYOB (bring your own broom). The WCC will provide everything else.

Because of today’s wet, windy weather, we’ve decided to postpone our neighborhood cleanup event until Saturday, April 21. Join us on Saturday, April 21 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. for our second 2018 neighborhood cleanup event! We’ll meet in the Seattle Audubon Nature Store parking lot (8050 35th Ave NE) and work together to clear the sidewalks for a few blocks along 35th Ave NE. Wear your Wedgwood t-shirts and work gloves, and bring a broom or a shovel. The WCC will provide everything else.
The current incarnation of the Wedgwood Community Council was born on March 6, 1987, making it 31 years old today! To celebrate, the WCC hosted a neighborhood cleanup event this past weekend. Thanks to the volunteers who picked up trash and cleared the sidewalks along 35th Ave NE between NE 81st St and NE 85th St.
This past Sunday saw rallies for and against the 35th Ave NE Paving Project.
Join us on Saturday March 3 from 10 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. for a neighborhood cleanup event!
